Happy Birthday

Burger heaven on a plate

It was a birthday in our family this weekend – and we went out for burgers to celebrate. It was a good choice of restaurant from the birthday girl – fun, relaxed, friendly and fast. The burgers were fat, juicy and delicious. Only one of us really likes gherkins, so he got all 5.

We had such a good time we had pudding too (as if we needed it!), and then we staggered home and watched TV together.

A perfect evening, in my book. Happy Birthday!

  1. Perfect evening. I am the one who ends up with the gherkins in our house. Was it hard to put the ‘find me on folksy’ (I am hosting #folksyhour tomorrow!!) and ‘just a card’ squares (what are they called?) on your blog? I would like to do the same.

    • Hi Alison! The squares are called ‘widgets’. If you go to this link http://blog.folksy.com/2011/12/07/folksy-blog-badges you can copy the code for the badge you want. Then go to wordpress admin on your blog, go to Appearance, then widgets. You can then ‘add widget’, pasting the code in as prompted. Change the code as folksy suggests to make it point to your shop. You can move the widgets up and down the right hand sidebar of your blog as you like by dragging them (for example when I was on just a card I moved that one to the top! etc). Just a Card has a similar code for you to copy/paste on their site. Hope it works..!

I really love computers – so much to figure out! – and would like to be able to write code. One of these days I am going to go on a course to learn.

      • Thanks Trudi. I will give that a go. I always felt bad with the ‘Just a card’ one, it is such a good cause, but I had no idea what to do. I didn’t even know how to cut and paste until last year. What a revelation that was!

    • Update – it’s not ‘add widget’. Got it wrong! You should drag the ‘text’ widget over and customise it. (Hope it works. Again)
