Breathe in deeply

Breathe in deeply to bring your mind home to your body illustration

I started a new yoga course this week.
I’ve been meaning to pay attention to my aching back and sore shoulders for ages.
(An occupational hazard of so much painting!). So I finally signed up and went for the first class.

It was very interesting – some of the stretches, or poses, that we started with felt familiar, and some were new. It was fun, and relaxing. I left feeling I hadn’t *done* that much; I am so used now to fast paced, heart-beating-out-of-my-chest, hot, sweaty high intensity workouts.

But perhaps that’s the point. I could do with learning to stop doing and start just being  now and then.

I am curious to learn more! The teacher mentioned this quote. I have been pondering it all week.
