Jigsaw Puzzle

It’s the end of term in the UK. My days at the moment are full to bursting with the jigsaw pieces of jobs to finish, sports days, swimming galas, holiday planning, birthdays, celebrations, and suncream. For a while, I couldn’t make sense of all the pieces. Nothing went with anything else! I’ve just been endlessly sifting through the pile, looking for the edges, and trying not to lose any of the bits.

A day of painting was in order. I set off with no plan, following what suggested itself to me as I went, inventing from random brush strokes and interesting marks, and listening to the radio.  I almost fell asleep at one point (or is that the week of bedtimes at midnight?!).

It’s all new and familiar at the same time. I’m restored.2014-07-17 13.57.58 2014-07-17 13.57.21 2014-07-17 13.56.02
