A blank page

A blank page, especially one this big, is pretty daunting. Today, after sharpening all my pencils, tidying the desk drawer, booting out the cat, rearranging the shells and crabs we brought back from the beach, putting all my brushes in order from tallest to smallest, and a multitude of other avoidance strategies, I began to paint.
